Impact Windows

Impact windows are also known as "Hurricane windows" and "Storm windows". Impact windows cost more than other hurricane protection options such as shutters and panels.  However, windows have a much longer life and don't require any maintenance (shutters) or storage space (panels).  Impact windows are a static passive form of hurricane protection as opposed to shutters that must be closed, or panels that require time and effort to stage, hang and attach.  Windows allow the natural light to penetrate and allow you to view outside whereas shutters and panels do not.  Finally, shutters and panel tracks may detract from the homes appearance whereas windows enhance the appearance of the home.
